About Dr. Banegas

Dr. Banegas received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her internship at Michigan State University in Grand Blanc, where she also completed her residency in General Surgery. Dr. Banegas completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Michigan State University in Grand Rapids. During her fellowship, Dr. Banegas served as an assistant clinical professor providing instruction to general surgery, orthopedic and plastic surgery residents and interns. She is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and American Osteopathic Associations. Before joining Vascular Care of Texas, Dr. Banegas served five years as a vascular surgeon in Tucson, AZ.
